How Juan Manuel Marquez Lost Against Manny Pacquiao?

A fighter should know how to accept defeat and if not, just go home lock your room and cry out loud. And the most of all, "A fighter should know the rules about what his playing".

The Scoring System

Marquez as a challenger should be more aggressive with attacks that's one clear reason he lost. He's playing like he's the one who has a title to defend. If you're going to research about the 10 points scoring system that has been used by the judges, it shows that Manny got most points because he's doing more agitation on attacks and while him is just waiting for a lucky counter punch.

Another reason, his dirty footstep style is not applicable for Manny. Even you got Manny on trap and you can't deliver a big blow, its useless. Its so shame you already cheating but still you lost, its a double black eye.

Air Punches

Yes Marquez got a lot of big punches... but he threw it all thru the air. If only he can get a points by hitting the air, he should had been the winner.

Blocking the Punch with his face

Somehow blocking the punch with your face is a good idea because it will not hurt your lower body. The only problem with that the judges will take it as a score to your opponent. All I can say, Marquez used his head too much for blocking.

Juan Manuel Marquez Footstep Style, is it a Dirty Trick/Cheating?

You can never teach an old dog with a new style. This is what we'd seen from the latest fight of Juan Manuel Marquez against Manny Pacquiao. His footstep is one way to out tempo his opponent or try to trap him for a while so his opponent won't able to step back. Its like you trapping a rat before it escape and hit it with your stick to knock him down.

Manny's got cramps on his leg because of this and also he got some damage because of the trap. This is why some others thought that Maquez got good clean punches and should had been the winner. I'm not sure if this kind dirty trick is allowed in pro-boxing, it looks cheating though. As we know Boxing supposed to use hands only and foot is used for balance, bringing the tempo or even running away. I think it would be nice if he has footstep style for running away and cry for help.

Robbed and the judges are blind?

The funny part is, after announcing the winner and Marquez got his interview, he said he has been robbed. "Robbed" and the judges are blind or corrupted?. Does he has any idea what his talking about? You already cheating with your 'footstep' and you're drinking other than water during the fight which is illegal (a juice that looks like urine). Prior to that, their last 2nd match was supposed to be a TKO for Manny. A 4+ KO and you got a draw and now a fair decision, you're saying you been Robbed. Grow up and retire old man!!

Manny Pacquiao Vs Juan Manuel Marquez 3 - The Decision Controversy

The fight is over and everybody's not feeling good about the decision. Some says Pacquaio doesn't deserves the win and marquez has been robbed while others says the judges did fine with the scoring system. OK to make the story short, they both fight in their best but the fight has been decided by points from the rules of scoring system. No matter how Marquez played good at the fight, it shows it wasn't enough. Its like. It must be his old trick doesn't work anymore to the reigning champ

What we didn't see in the Coverage

In the coverage, we can see that Marquez is showing great counters and landed it great but the thing is, we're not seeing the punches that Pacquaio's successfully delivered. The judges can see through this, so you can't blame them if they give the points to Manny.

"Pacquiao has thrown 578 punches connecting 176 while Marquez had it 436 connecting 138. Pacquiao threw 304 jabs connecting 59 to Marquez's 182 with 38 connects. Pacquiao threw 274 power punches connecting 117 while Marquez threw 254 with 100 connecting."

Maquez missed a lot of punches though he looks aggressive and able to give a hit but in contrary Manny's giving it back in double. We've seen also some good counter punches but some of those punches came from his dirty footstep where he traps Manny's foot and give him a punchy.

I'm not sure why the media is focusing a lot with Marquez. Its obvious they want to have some headlines and controversy with the fight. Are they tired of Manny's winning and want to see something new to talk about?

We can say, Maquez was already a winner, its for surviving in 12rounds and avoided kissing the canvas. Same like with most of Manny's opponents, they already a winner for surviving in 12rounds, Mosley, Margarito and Mosley achieved this. Every boxer fan should know that a challenger won't win only by decision, the best way to beat the champion is to give him a KO which Marquez failed to do. He can't win if he don't play like a champion, its like he's not trying to win the belt but to just survive in the rounds.

Conclusion and the Winner
Manny retained his WIBO belt, he successfully extended it for another contract. Marquez did the fight good but its not enough to get the win. Though he landed some good punches to Pacman's face and almost made it distorted but it doesn't matter because its not making any difference to Pacman's face at all; Manny's should try harder for his next fight, it shows that he is aging and his punches is becoming weaker and weaker. Through all the hits he gave to Marquez, the dude should had been kissing the canvas for no time. Compare to his old fights, those punches should give a knock out if not it will destroy his opponent face horribly.
Marquez should stop challenging Manny and 3 matches is enough for him. He is a good player, the best opponent ever had as I must say. 3 matches is enough, it's already been decided... Manny is too good for him and he can't win against him, not a chance.

I think the reason why Pacman's can't focus enough is because he's constipated during the match ..
